Kavoholik: Specialty Coffee Roasted with Passion, Recognised Worldwide
Our story began in 2020, when a group of coffee enthusiasts decided to raise the level of coffee culture in Slovakia. What started as a small local roastery has gradually developed into a family-driven coffee brand with international ambitions.
At Kavoholik, coffee is not just a product. It is a journey — from carefully selected farms, through precise roasting, all the way to the final cup enjoyed by our customers.
Our Approach to Specialty Coffee
At Kavoholik, we carefully select green coffee beans with a quality score above SCA 80 points. Each coffee is tested, cupped, roasted, evaluated again, and adjusted until we find the right roasting profile.
V60 & Filter
For V60 and filter preparation, we focus on light-roasted coffees that reveal delicate acidity, fruit notes, florality, and complexity.
Espresso
For espresso, we use medium-roasted profiles designed to deliver balance, sweetness, body, and a consistent taste experience.
FROM SLOVAKIA TO THE MIDDLE EAST AND THE WORLD
Today, around 80% of our specialty coffee sales are directed to the Middle East, where customers increasingly appreciate high-quality beans, modern brewing methods, and authentic specialty coffee culture.
This international growth became even stronger in 2024, when we opened our Kavoholik café in Salalah, Oman. On 14 February 2026, we opened our new large Kavoholik café in City Centre Mall in Muscat, Oman.
Through our new e-shop, kavoholikoman.com, we want to make Kavoholik coffee more easily accessible not only to our café customers, but gradually to end customers across the entire region.

Kavoholik coffees have received Great Taste awards across several years, including Great Taste 3 stars, Great Taste 2 stars, and Great Taste 1 star recognitions for selected coffees such as Colombia Popayan Decaf, Ethiopia Hamasho, Panama Drima Zede, and more.
International Coffee Tasting 2022
In the International Coffee Tasting 2022 competition, Kavoholik espresso blend 70/30 and Kavoholik Štúr received gold medals, placing them among highly recognised espresso blends on the international coffee scene.
